Removal of old cabinet doors and hardware
Removal takes half a day to one day to complete, and the costs are $500-$1000.
Installation of New Cabinet Doors, Handles and Hardware
Installation takes about 1-2 days to complete and the installation costs run between $2-$3000, depending on size and complexity.
Plumbing and Electrical Costs
Because you aren’t changing the configuration of your kitchen there aren’t likely to be any plumbing or electrical costs or consents required. The only fees you may face would be call-out fees related to new appliance installation if you are replacing your appliances.
New Cabinet / Drawer Doors, Handles and Hardware
More low-cost lines can go between $3,000 – $4000 and the luxury lines $5000- $7000. Hardware, and hinges would cost ~$500 (~$20-$40 each depending on quality). If you want to put in the soft-close drawers the costs would be ~$70 for each draw hardware plus the face.
Benchtop Replacement Costs
Again this depends on the benchtop material. The most affordable is laminates, wood, stainless steel, engineered stone and granite. The costs run from $300, $400, $400, $700 to $1500 per meter square, respectively. Most clients when they want to save money skip the benchtop replacement as this is the most costly part.
Rubbish Removal Costs
The cost of removal is ~$500.
Total cost of the renovation for an average size kitchen without benchtop replacement would run at ~$6000 and with benchtop ~$7.5- $8k
